In 2019, the AmeriCorps awarded $2.5 million in AmeriCorps grants to tribal communities through the 2019 AmeriCorps Indian Tribes Competition. In total, this funding will support nearly 200 AmeriCorps members. The AmeriCorps members supported by these grants are eligible to earn more than $900,000 in Segal AmeriCorps Education Awards to help pay for college or to pay back student loans.
