Building on the momentum of a successful service model of coaching in California, Coaches for a Healthy America will enlist AmeriCorps Members to lead high-quality soccer programs that improve the fitness of youth at high risk for obesity. Team-Up for Youth in partnership with the US Soccer Foundation will refine this research-based model for scale-up to other low-income communities in which there is need, community commitment, and civic engagement.
