Life Cycle Evaluation: Peer Recovery Coaching Bundle, Cohort 1

The United States is facing an unprecedented addiction and overdose epidemic. In 2017, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) declared a public health emergency in response to the increasing number of opioid-related overdoses and deaths. Due to differences in funding, policies, regulations, available resources, and the overall approach to addressing substance use disorders (SUDs), substance use treatment and harm reduction options may vary across states.

AmeriCorps Disaster Response: A Case Study of the Incident Command System in Missouri

The Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) Spring 2016 Capstone class worked with the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) to study the AmeriCorps Disaster Response Teams’ (A-DRTs) experiences under the Incident Command System (ICS) during recent deployments to the December 2015 flood in Missouri.

The researchers analyzed existing research and collected primary data on the Incident Command System (ICS) to better understand strengths and weaknesses of the model in responding to the flood.

Missouri College Advising Corps (MCAC) seeks to increase the number of low income, first-generation, and underrepresented students entering and completing higher education. MCAC uses recent college graduates to serve as full-time advisers in low performing high schools supporting students through college admissions, matriculation, and financial aid.
