US Sen. Kelly, Sinema announce $3 million will go to helping Arizona’s AmeriCorps members

United State senators Mark Kelly and Kyrsten Sinema announced Tuesday that $3,369,176 will be awarded to support 359 Public Health AmeriCorps members in the state. Five Arizona organizations will receive over $3 million to assist the public health workforce, state officials said.

New AmeriCorps effort to help reduce wildfires

The U.S. Forest Service is getting some help from AmeriCorps. The training program for young adults between the ages of 18 and 26 has launched a new Forest Corps. The teams from Forest Corps will be involved in several efforts to reduce the risk of wildfires. Read more on Michigan Public.
