As a result of the 2020 Volunteer Generation Fund Grant Competition, AmeriCorps awarded 22 grants totaling more than $6 million to State Service Commissions to expand volunteering, strengthen the capacity of volunteer connector organizations to recruit and retain skill-based volunteers, and develop strategies to use volunteers effectively to solve local problems.
