The September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance (9/11 Day), is a chance to help others in tribute to those killed and injured on September 11, 2001, first responders, and the countless others who serve to defend the nation’s freedom at home and around the globe.

September 11th is Patriot Day and a National Day of Service and Remembrance. September 11, 2021 is the 20th Anniversary of that tragic day. On this day Americans across the country are called to volunteer in their local communities in tribute to the individuals lost and injured in the attacks, first responders, and the many who have risen in service to defend freedom.

MLK Day of Service January 17, 2022

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is an official day of service that celebrates the Civil Rights leader’s life and legacy. Observed each year on the third Monday in January as “a day on, not a day off,” MLK Day is the only federal holiday designated as a national day of service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities. AmeriCorps has been charged with leading this effort for the past quarter century. Find out more

National Service Recognition Day April 2022

On National Service Recognition Day, thousands of local leaders across the country honor AmeriCorps members and AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers by issuing official proclamations and taking to social media in a nationwide show of appreciation.
