The RSVP program is one of America’s largest volunteer networks for people 55 and older and engages the skills, talents, and experience of volunteers to meet a wide range of community needs. These AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers recruit and manage other volunteers, mentor and tutor disadvantaged children, support workforce development by providing job readiness training, offer free tax preparation, help seniors live independently in their homes, assist communities as they recover from disasters, and expand economic opportunities for veterans and their families.
AmeriCorps completed the Fiscal Year 2021 AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP grant competition, resulting in 260 awards in 45 states. These grants, totaling more than $23.6 million will support more than 51,300 AmeriCorps Seniors volunteers. The following tables show information about the individual grant recipients.
