Melissa Allen

Melissa Allen is the Deputy Chief Program Officer at AmeriCorps. In this role she works across offices to coordinate program operations. Allen has a Masters in Social Work with a concentration in non-profit and public management. She has been with AmeriCorps since 2011, starting her work in the New Jersey State Office, followed by time in the Mid-Atlantic Regional Office. Allen is a national service aluma, having served two terms with AmeriCorps VISTA and one with AmeriCorps NCCC. Allen cares most about building high functioning teams to enhance operations and work culture. In her spare time Melissa Allen likes to be outside enjoying nature or volunteering at the local animal shelter.
