Director, Reporting Compliance and Audit

Minh Dinh has been the AmeriCorps director of Reporting Compliance and Audit since December 2022. He has more than 20 years of experience in government financial management, project management, accounting, and auditing.

Dinh began his federal career as an auditor with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection within the Office of International Trade in 2002. In 2008, he was promoted to program manager/staff accountant and in 2011, he was promoted to supervisory auditor where he managed a team of auditors that performed external audits of importers.

Dinh’s experience includes a wide variety of audits involving compliance audits, systems reviews, internal controls, and many other complex government audits.

Before joining AmeriCorps, Dinh served as an audit manager in the Office of Inspector General of the Small Business Administration where he managed a team of auditors responsible for internal audits of the agency. Before that, he was a supervisory forensic auditor with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services where he designed, developed, and implemented the first National Compliance Review program for the Immigrant Investment Program Office.

Dinh also previously served as a supervisory management analyst at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where he managed the audit follow-up process and the management control program for the Office of Chief Financial Officer. Before that, he was a supervisory auditor at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development where he managed a team of auditors responsible for reviewing the audited financial statements of FHA lenders.

Dinh holds a Bachelor of Science in industrial management and a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Cincinnati. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner and a Certified Internal Control Auditor.
