Prabhjot Bajwa
Chief Information Officer
Prabhjot ‘Prab’ Bajwa brings more than 25 years of extensive information technology experience with him to his role at AmeriCorps.
Bajwa previously served as the Chief Technology Officer and Director of Application Digital Transformation at the U.S. Department of Commerce. Before that, he had served as Chief Technology Officer for the U.S. Courts, with key responsibilities of identifying, evaluating, and implementing technology-based solutions designed to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the entire U.S. Federal Judiciary.
Bajwa managed the successful rollout of the Department of Homeland Security FEMA Grants Management Modernization platform with a grant portfolio of $12 billion per year, and before that he served as the Chief Information Officer at the Drug Enforcement Agency-led El Paso Intelligence Center.
While serving a term with EPIC, he collaborated with 28 different law enforcement departments and agencies to deliver numerous capabilities, and his technical leadership earned his selection as the core member of the Director of National intelligence-led White House Steering Technical Advisory Committee.
Bajwa’s previous career in government roles includes serving as the program lead for all DHS Headquarters custom application development and the DHS Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency. Before his time with DHS, Bajwa worked with Booz Allen Hamilton, where he led major IT development efforts for Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon, DHS Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and the National Science Foundation. He credits his knowledge of telecommunications with being instrumental during his time as service owner for 13 managed services at the AT&T Bell labs.
Bajwa has an engineering background and received his master’s degree in information systems from Clarkson University in New York. He has received numerous IT certifications and has been highly recognized at his prior and current workplaces.
