The Public Health AmeriCorps is a partnership between AmeriCorps and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which was given a $400 million investment from the American Rescue Plan. AJ Pearlman, former chief of staff for COVID-19 response at the Health and Human Services Department, was named director of the new initiative. Read more on Government Executive.
