CEO Update on FY 2008 Omnibus Spending Bill
Dear Colleagues:
Last night the House filed a comprehensive appropriations package to provide Fiscal Year 2008 funding for programs and agencies across the Federal government.
This “omnibus” or consolidated spending bill is in the form of an amendment to H.R. 2764, the Department of State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Act of 2008. The House is expected to take up the bill tonight, and the Senate will act later this week.
The bill, which includes a 1.747 percent across-the-board rescission, recommends $856,331,000 million for the Corporation and its programs for Fiscal 2008.
