Grant Opportunities for Various AmeriCorps State and National Programs Announced
AmeriCorps announced funding opportunities for State and National competitive grants, Native Nations and Public Health AmeriCorps.
WASHINGTON, DC – AmeriCorps, the federal agency for national service and volunteerism, announced new funding opportunities for fiscal year 2024. AmeriCorps State and National announced grant opportunities for Public Health AmeriCorps, Native Nations and general competitive grants.
AmeriCorps State and National competitive grants are for institutions of higher education, local governments, school districts, nonprofit organizations, State Service Commissions, US States and Territories, tribal nations and public health departments to apply for AmeriCorps members to strengthen communities through serving. Applications are due Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024.
The Native Nations grant will allow tribal nations to apply for AmeriCorps members and funding to serve their communities best. Applications for this grant are due Friday, April 5, 2024.
Public Health AmeriCorps announced a continuations-only funding opportunity for current Public Health AmeriCorps grantees. Organizations with current Public Health AmeriCorps awards are eligible for continuation funding. Continuation applications are due Thursday, Jan. 4, 2024.
In fiscal year 2023, AmeriCorps State and National awarded more than $400 million in federal grants. This funding went to more than 350 organizations to address challenges with COVID-19 response and recovery; educational opportunity and economic mobility in communities facing persistent unemployment; social cohesion and civic engagement; quality of life services for veterans and military families; environmental stewardship and climate change mitigation and services for rural communities.
