List of RSVP Relinquishment Grants
WASHINGTON, DC -- The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) is awarding 38 grants to support local nonprofits across the county that will utilize senior volunteers to tackle pressing community needs.
Together, the grants include more than $4 million in funding through the 2012 RSVP Relinquished Funds Competition to 22 new sponsors for RSVP programs that engage volunteers in addressing a wide range of challenges, from disaster response to environmental stewardship. The funding also includes 16 RSVP grants to implement service activities focused on veterans and military families.
Below are two charts showing each competition category. The first table includes the amount, location, and program name of each organization that received a new grant. These funds will support new grants to organizations in geographic areas where RSVP projects were voluntarily discontinued by a previous sponsor.
The second chart provides the same details for the organizations selected to receive augmentation grants. This funding will be used to implement additional service activities focused on veterans and military families.
