Proposed Rule to Remove Barriers from AmeriCorps State and National Term Limits
AmeriCorps State and National program has proposed a new rule that is open for comment for the next 30 days
WASHINGTON, DC—AmeriCorps, the federal agency for national service and volunteerism, announced a proposed rule to revise the AmeriCorps State and National program regulations on the number of terms for which AmeriCorps will fund living allowances and other benefits for members.
This proposal would revise the recently finalized AmeriCorps State and National rule, expanding the flexibility for members to earn the aggregate value of two Segal Education Awards or four terms, whichever is longer.
