Program Description for Cloud & Security Specialist Program: In today’s dynamic IT industry any technician needs to have a solid foundation in computer hardware, computer networking, Microsoft administration, cloud fundamentals as well as an eye on security. The Cloud and Security Specialist Program from Centriq Training uses a combination of lecture, instructor led demonstrations, hands on scenarios, and daily feedback to give students the knowledge, skill sets, and confidence to perform their duties across a wide range of career paths. Students will leave the program with the ability to assess, troubleshoot, plan and implement solutions for a variety of different technologies including computer hardware, computer networks and devices, Active Directory, M365 administration, PowerShell, Rocky and Kali Linux, Wireshark, and network firewalls. Additionally, students will spend time each day dedicated to professional development to prepare them to enter the job market. The program will run for 12 weeks (35 hours/week) days and 24 weeks (20 hours/week) evenings. Students may attend in-person at our Kansas City or Saint Louis campuses or virtually from anywhere in the US. The program includes all materials that students will need for successful completion including a laptop and all course supplemental materials and exam fees.

Career Seminars:
Seminars focus on career-related topics, including technical resume development, customer care for IT professionals, IT interview techniques and IT job search strategies.
Careers Team:
Full-time members of staff can provide professional career consultations, interview and resume advice, and
referrals to employers and staffing agencies.
Career Ready Program:
Centriq Training will endeavor to provide the following services:
o Make efforts to leverage their credibility and long-standing relationships with Employers to find job opportunities for the Centriq students who meet the Employers’ requirements.
o Evaluation Reports created and provided to Employers to support Career Ready resumes.
o Candidates included on a “Career Ready List” circulated to a database of Employers.
o Resumes circulated and interviews organized upon request from Employers.
o Proactive submission of Career Ready resumes to companies with or without current vacancies.
o Exclusive access to Employers with selective requirements.
Student shall be responsible for maintaining Career Ready eligibility by:
o Aiming to maintain a 100% attendance record.
o Contacting Student Services for any excused absence (sick, family emergency, etc) prior to or on the day of absence.
o Contacting Student Services when expecting to arrive late for training.
o Having no more than a total of 3 excused absences, late arrivals, or early leaves per track.
o Participating in all Career Skills Seminars and completing all related assignments on time.
o Meeting project requirements and deadlines given by instructors.
o Participating in presentations assigned by instructors.
o Participating in mock interview and obtaining approval from interviewer evaluation.
o Attending interviews facilitated by Career Services.
o Zero disciplinary meetings during on record.
o Receiving at least “Average” ratings for “Professional Approach”, “Participation/Attentiveness”, and “Problem Solving Initiative” by instructors in all classes.
o Attending all scheduled mentoring sessions with instructors.
o Attend at least one Mock Interview Boot Camp and participate in both a General and Technical interview.
