Fordham University's M.A. Program in International Political Economy and Development can match a Segal Education Award for academically qualified AmeriCorps alumni with a full tuition Centennial Fellowship. This fellowship is currently valued at $51,469 (2023-2024).   Our AmeriCorps Alumni are also eligible for a US Federal Work Study Grant.

Our M.A. Program attracts a select entering class of about 20 to 25 students from around the globe who have a strong interest in the interplay between economics and politics on the world stage, especially in the areas of international commerce and in international development.  Our location in New York City gives us a wealth of professional opportunities ranging from the UN to Wall Street.  An alumni supported endowment enables us to fund summer internships around the world.  Segal Awardees in our MA Program can specialize in the study of international development issues, international economics and finance, or in global environmental issues.

Our career placement record is quite strong.  Our graduates are known for winning various prestigious fellowships ranging from Fulbrights to US Presidential Management Fellowships.  Roughly 40% of our alumni work in the private sector primarily as financial analysts or management consultants, 25% in the public sector mainly as economists and analysts, and 25% with international relief and development agencies mostly overseas as project managers.
