Furman University's Master of Arts in Advocacy and Equity Studies is a program designed for problem-solvers and community leaders: those who see issues in society and want to make a change. A graduate with this degree will have a thorough view of social justice issues, developing the critical lens and conceptual skills necessary to recognize societal inequities and analyze systems of power. Graduates will also develop a grounding in the practical skills needed to be effective agents of change in a community or organization.

Because the mission and impact of this graduate program is ideally suited for AmeriCorps alumni, Furman University's Master of Arts in Advocacy and Equity Studies offers a tuition match of the Segal Education Award, split across the total coursework in the program. Applicants may also qualify for a waiver of the application fee. For more details about the program, admission requirements, the tuition matching program, and its availability for prospective graduate students, please contact our graduate admissions team as listed on the website.
