Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC) is North America’s premier institution of Jewish higher education and the center for Jewish professional leadership development. At HUC we prepare the next generation of Jewish professional leadership and scholars to apply their knowledge, commitment, vision, and expertise to strengthen and transform the Jewish community and larger world.

Our students are activists, intellectuals, artists, musicians, engineers, rabbis, social workers, cantors, scholars and educators. They lead in North America, Israel, and around the globe at synagogues, schools, Hillels, hospitals, camps, the military, and Jewish organizations worldwide.

HUC is proud to honor the commitment of AmeriCorps alumni with 100% dollar-for-dollar matching awards for all AmeriCorps graduate students enrolled at HUC each year. This award is up to $6,195 annually and is renewed each year that students are enrolled with a full time status in any of our graduate programs. AmeriCorps alumni also remain eligible for all other relevant scholarship and financial aid opportunities at HUC.
