The Master in Public Policy (MPP) program at Jacksonville University seeks to educate, train, and prepare a new generation of future leaders, managers, and policy analysts for the public, private and non-profit sectors. The MPP program seeks to prepare students from undergraduate school, public employees, veterans, mid-career professionals, and minority applicants for diverse career opportunities and public service. The interdisciplinary courses, internships, capstone, guest policy lectures, and Institute events featuring national, state and local policymakers are all designed to prepare MPP graduates with the values, knowledge, skills, and experience to work, serve, and lead in the public, private, and non-profit sectors.
Jacksonville University’s Public Policy Institute is committed to provide the following to AmeriCorps members and/or alumni who apply to one of the Public Policy degrees (including dual degree programs in Marine Science, MBA, Master in Organizational Leadership, and Juris Doctor):
• One-year enrollment deferrals for individuals to serve in AmeriCorps
• A graduate application fee waiver
• Eligible for a one-time scholarship award of up to $10,000 upon admission to any of our Public Policy graduate programs. The amount will be awarded pro rata per credit for all MPP courses you enroll in at Jacksonville University.
Eligible programs include:
• The Master in Public Policy
• The Executive Master in Public Policy
• The Master in Public Policy and the Master of Arts in Marine Science Dual Degree Program
• The Master in Public Policy and Master of Business Administration Dual Degree Program
• The Master in Public Policy and Master of Science in Organizational Leadership Dual Degree Program
• The Master in Public Policy and Juris Doctor Dual Degree Program
This agreement is effective beginning with applicants for the fall 2025 entry term.
