Michigan Tech is proud to count among its graduate student body a number of students who have contributed extraordinary service to the United States through AmeriCorps. These students add much to the culture of Michigan Tech through their strong values and commitment to service. To aid these AmeriCorps alumni and to encourage new AmeriCorps students in their pursuit of a graduate education, Michigan Tech offers a free Graduate School application, a reduced tuition rate, no differential tuition rate for in-state or out-of-state students, and the potential ability to defer enrollments for up to one year to allow individuals to serve in the AmeriCorps. We are always looking to strengthen and build the AmeriCorps alumni community on our campus and provide them with rewards for their service.

AmeriCorps alumni who attend Michigan Tech as on-campus, online, degree- and non-degree students may be eligible for our National Graduate Service Reduced Tuition Rate (NGSRTR) - https://www.mtu.edu/gradschool/financial/reduced-tuition/. The reduced tuition rate is approximately 66% of the standard graduate tuition rate at Michigan Tech and is available for all of our graduate level programs and certificates.
