SUNY Buffalo State University waives application fees for AmeriCorps alumni, provides academic credit for AmeriCorps experience, and allows eligible AmeriCorps alumni to defer admission for up to one year. Additionally, up to two eligible AmeriCorps alumni can qualify for a $5,000 Howe Community Service Scholarship annually to be used for tuition, room and board, books and supplies, or other costs associated with attendance.
