University of Arizona Graduate College

Basic Award: Beginning with fall 2016, the University of Arizona (UA) Graduate College will provide up to a $5,000 fellowship match to the Segal AmeriCorps Education Award for up to 3 students newly admitted to a graduate degree program at the University of Arizona.

Eligibility: Recipient must be a new admit to a graduate degree program at the University of Arizona (UA) for the fall term of award and have done the AmeriCorps or Vista service in the southern part of the state of Arizona (Tucson and surrounding vicinities). Admits to UA law, medical, online, and graduate certificate programs are not eligible. Only 3 awards per year. Recipients must show proof of AmeriCorps or Vista service. Funds are need-based and therefore require that awardees demonstrate sufficient financial need in order to receive the award. Financial need is determined through the filing of the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid (https://fafsa.ed.gov/).
