The University of Colorado Denver, School of Public Affairs (SPA) AmeriCorps Alumni Higher Ed Scholarship is to be award to up to two AmeriCorps alumni each year who must be accepted to SPA’s Accelerated Master of Public Administration (MPA) program, provided they meet eligibility requirements for the Higher Ed Partnership Program.

Those eligible are AmeriCorps alumni who have successfully completed at least one year of service. The scholarship will provide up to $5,000 toward the Accelerated MPA program tuition. The award will be based on academic merit and financial need may be taken into consideration. The applicant should submit a general essay along with the scholarship application. The essay should be 1-2 pages and it should describe the applicant’s experience with AmeriCorps and how that experience relates to their professional goals and the Accelerated MPA program.
