University of Wisconsin-Green Bay highly values the AmeriCorps program and sees participation in this program as integral to our community's and institution's success. As a preferred partner, UWGB will offer select AmeriCorps members and alumni an option for a Graduate-level Phoenix Scholar award, which is up to a 75% non-resident tuition discount. Per Wisconsin state statute and dependent on current state of residence, some institutional limits may apply (as they already present tuition discounts per legislative agreement)- please inquire with the Office of Graduate Studies for questions or clarification.

Also, the Office of Graduate Studies at UW-Green Bay is pleased to award up to one-year enrollment deferrals for individuals accepted into most graduate programs and participating in the AmeriCorps program.

Additionally, depending on the applicant’s specific graduate program of interest, AmeriCorps participants may be able to count their work in the program toward specific negotiated coursework requirements or entry into specific program tracks that allow for more rapid progression to a degree.
