AmeriCorps Seniors Pathfinder

The Senior Demonstration Program makes grants that demonstrate innovative activities involving older Americans as volunteers such as linking youth groups and older American organizations in volunteer activities involving older volunteers in programs and activities different from programs and activities supported in the community and testing whether older American volunteer programs may contribute to new objectives or certain national priorities.

Senior Companions are volunteers 55 and over who provide assistance and friendship to seniors who have difficulty with daily living tasks such as shopping or paying bills. The program aims to keep seniors independent longer and provide assistance to family caregivers.
