What You'll Do
Inspire Learning
Develop an afterschool program, improve reading skills for primary school students, support high school students through college access programs, or use coding skills to build interactive museum exhibits.
Protect the Environment
Join a conservation corps and build hiking trails through public lands, maintain public parks, or protect wildlife.
Create Economic Opportunity
Serve as a resource coordinator connecting individuals to affordable housing or conduct outreach for workforce development training opportunities.
Respond to Disaster
Assist survivors and recruit volunteers to help restore communities affected by hurricanes, wildfires, floods, and tornadoes.
Improve Well-Being
Advance more equitable health outcomes for underserved communities with Public Health AmeriCorps.
Honor Veterans
Connect veterans and military families to healthcare and other services, or support their transition back to civilian life.

Segal AmeriCorps Education Award to use on future educational expenses or to pay back qualified student loans. The value is dependent on length of service. Members 55+ are eligible to transfer their Education Award to a family member

Eligibility Requirements
To serve in AmeriCorps State and National, you must:
- be 17 years or older (no upper age limit)
- be a U.S. citizen, U.S. National, or Lawful Permanent Resident Alien
