Sarah was an AmeriCorps member in the RecoveryCorps program in Minnesota from 2023 to 2024 where she helped people in her community suffering from the opioid epidemic.
At her service site, Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge, she served as a recovery navigator, guiding members of the recovery community through treatment options, housing and employment opportunities, and kept them informed of community resources available to them.
Through her work, Sarah provided peer support to those in the recovery community, encouraged them on their journey to living healthier lives, and gave comfort and a sense of belonging to everyone who entered the recovery programs.
“It has been a joy to serve with Minnesota RecoveryCorps,” Sarah said. “Let’s continue helping those in our communities build lives based on the strongest of foundations! I thank God for this opportunity to serve.”
