Life Cycle Evaluation: Peer Recovery Coaching Bundle, Cohort 1

The United States is facing an unprecedented addiction and overdose epidemic. In 2017, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) declared a public health emergency in response to the increasing number of opioid-related overdoses and deaths. Due to differences in funding, policies, regulations, available resources, and the overall approach to addressing substance use disorders (SUDs), substance use treatment and harm reduction options may vary across states.

Total Learning Classroom Impact Evaluation

The Total Learning Classroom (TLC) program supports whole-school learning outcomes in kindergarten through third grade by providing schools with Scholar Coaches, who are AmeriCorps members trained in evidence-based literacy interventions and deliver effective literacy tutoring to students and support teacher-led priorities, and Systems Coaches, who provide ongoing coaching to Scholar Coaches and help school leaders with decisions and practices that affect entire grades or the whole school. 

Impact Evaluation of the Minnesota Alliance With Youth Statewide AmeriCorps Promise Fellows Program

The Promise Fellow Program is an intervention designed to prevent dropout amongst students in grades 6-12 in Minnesota that show early warning signs of school disengagement. The program is led by interventionists known as Promise Fellows and provides three research-based supports that align with the National Dropout Prevention Center’s “Basic Core Strategies”: caring adults, service-learning, and out-of-school supports.

An Evaluation of the True North AmeriCorps Program: Impact Report

The True North AmeriCorps program (TNAC) is an affiliate of the Duluth Area Family YMCA. TNAC serves economically disadvantaged children in the city of Duluth, Minnesota and three surrounding rural counties. Students who participated received targeted sessions in which the TNAC member provides a variety of formal “check-in” supports characterized by goal-oriented problem-solving and social-emotional skill building as well as informal support in the form of after-school activity participation and homework help.
