Companies Pledge $113 Million to Billion + Change Initiative at Service Conference in NYC

New York City – As a national gathering of volunteer leaders got underway here today, Corporation for National and Community Service CEO Patrick Corvington announced more than $110 million in new corporate pro bono commitments to help nonprofits achieve greater scale, sustainability, and impact in meeting community needs.

Washington D.C. -- The Corporation for National and Community Service announced more than $3 million in grants to support Native American communities in using national service as a solution to tackle social and economic challenges. The 18 tribal grants will support a range of projects including cultural and language preservation, economic development, health and wellness, youth leadership, education attainment, and traditional lands preservation. Below is a listing of the grants, which were made through the Corporation’s AmeriCorps and Learn and Serve America programs.

The Corporation for National and Community Service has awarded 48 organizations grants under its Senior Corps Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) to engage seniors in service projects that address national problems facing local communities.

The RSVP Programs of National Significance grants, which total more than $ 1.2 million, will support current RSVP grantees throughout the U.S. in mobilizing 4,000 senior volunteers to help mentor children, support independent living for seniors, promote energy efficiency and meet other critical community needs.
