AmeriCorps NCCC teams and specialized emergency response members deployed to assist recovery efforts

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the federal agency that administers AmeriCorps, announced the first resources deployed to support the response to the wildfires in Tennessee. The more than 30 AmeriCorps members, many of whom come from the agency’s National Community Civilian Corps (NCCC) program, are spread from the Great Smoky Mountains into Sevier County.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), today announced more than $13 million in funding for Pay for Success (PFS) projects through its Social Innovation Fund (SIF).

WASHINGTON, D.C.  – On Friday, October 7, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) will host hundreds of AmeriCorps members at its headquarters to celebrate a major milestone for the national service program that started in 1994: surpassing 1 million AmeriCorps members.

Four winners from across the country recognized in D.C. for their commitment to service

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the federal agency that administers AmeriCorps, announced the second annual Tom Harkin Excellence in AmeriCorps Awards to five AmeriCorps members and programs from around the nation. The winners were announced at a national gathering of AmeriCorps programs in Washington, D.C. last week.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the federal agency that administers AmeriCorps, today announced the expansion of its innovative Resilience AmeriCorps program to 55 tribal communities through partnerships with Conservation Legacy, American Indian Higher Education Consortium, Enterprise Community Partners, Tribal Colleges and Universities, and Tribal Housing Authorities.
