WASHINGTON, D.C. – AmeriCorps members from all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories, including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, have deployed to areas affected by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria. Led by the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), they make up the more than 2,000 AmeriCorps and Senior Corps members aiding in recovery and response efforts in Florida, Puerto Rico, Texas, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and other impacted areas.

WASHINGTON, D.C. –The Corporation for National and Community Service, the federal agency for volunteering and service, announced it has invested more than $10.5 million in opioid-related AmeriCorps and Senior Corps projects to address the current epidemic. The federal investment supports 1,200 AmeriCorps and Senior Corps members in more than 150 communities across 45 states.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the federal agency for volunteering and service, has deployed more than 1,800 AmeriCorps and Senior Corps members to areas impacted by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. This includes Americans serving with FEMA Corps and AmeriCorps Disaster Response Teams (A-DRTs), CNCS’s elite, specialty-trained disaster response crews.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) has activated 23 AmeriCorps Disaster Response Teams, including FEMA Corps, to support recovery operations in areas affected by Hurricane Irma, including Florida, Georgia, and Puerto Rico. These AmeriCorps members are supporting recovery and shelter operations with the American Red Cross, Save the Children, and FEMA.
