Sixth annual Senior Corps Week – May 16-21 – recognizes RSVP, Foster Grandparent, and Senior Companion volunteers

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the federal agency that administers Senior Corps, will recognize the impact that Senior Corps volunteers have in communities across the country during the sixth annual Senior Corps Week, taking place May 16-21 during Older Americans Month.

Second cohort of Social Innovation Fund Pay for Success project includes Harvard University, LISC, and the University of Utah

More than $6.1 million in investments will advance and evaluate emerging models that align payment for social services with verified social outcomes.

New faith-based and New York-based partnerships will support and unify community resilience efforts

Local volunteers, AmeriCorps members, and Senior Corps volunteers serve with Rebuilding Together as part of National Rebuilding Month

DENVER – Today, Mayor B. Hancock of Denver, Colo. and Mayor Jennifer Roberts of Charlotte, N.C. hosted the fourth-annual Service Bowl project with Rebuilding Together, a leading national nonprofit in safe and healthy housing. The Service Bowl was held in partnership with the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the federal agency that administers AmeriCorps and Senior Corps.

DENVER – On Wednesday, April 27, Mayor Michael B. Hancock will welcome Mayor Jennifer Roberts of Charlotte, N.C. to Denver for the fourth-annual Service Bowl project. In partnership with the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the mayors placed a friendly Super Bowl wager focused on the importance of volunteering and community service.

Announcement includes more than 125 AmeriCorps members in Michigan, Minnesota, and New Mexico

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the federal agency that administers AmeriCorps, announced $1.3 million in investments that will allow additional AmeriCorps members to support state and local efforts addressing the water emergency, blight, and public safety in Flint, Mich. Today’s announcement builds on CNCS’ previous deployments of national service members to response operations in the area.
