WASHINGTON, D.C. – A resoundingly high number of individuals who have served in AmeriCorps believe the national service program has been valuable in advancing their careers.
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Peace Corps and the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the federal agency that administers AmeriCorps, announced new commitments by private, public, and nonprofit sector employers to hire AmeriCorps and Peace Corps alums.

As part of ‘Service Bowl,’ winning mayor to host community service project with AmeriCorps members and local volunteers
WASHINGTON, D.C. – As the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers prepare to face off in Super Bowl 50, the mayors from the two cities have come up with a friendly wager that focuses on the importance of volunteering and community service. This will mark the fourth year of the Service Bowl bet.
WASHINGTON, DC – To honor the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. National Day of Service and Dr. King’s life and legacy, the President and First Lady, Cabinet Secretaries, and other Senior Administration Officials participated in community service projects and events. The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service is an opportunity for all Americans to honor Dr. King by coming together to help meet the needs of their communities and re-commit to service throughout the year.
