WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the federal agency for volunteering and service, today announced the opening of its new office for the North Central Region in Kansas City, Mo. 

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the federal volunteer agency that administers AmeriCorps and Senior Corps programs, will hold a grand opening event for its new regional office in Kansas City, Mo., on Monday, Nov.  25.

This opening event will feature remarks from CNCS CEO Barbara Stewart and North Central Regional Administrator Michael Laverty, as well as a panel discussion with national service leaders. The event will be attended by AmeriCorps and Senior Corps grantees and national service supporters from across the region.

A grand-opening celebration was held in the new office where representatives from AmeriCorps and Senior Corps programs from across the region gathered along with CNCS CEO Barbara Stewart, Director of Senior Corps Deborah Cox-Roush, and Northeast Regional Administrator Maggie Garvey delivered remarks. CONCORD, N.H.  – The Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the federal volunteer agency that administers AmeriCorps and Senior Corps programs, will hold a grand opening event for its new regional office in Concord, N.H. on Thursday, Nov. 14.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Corporation for National and Community Service today announced the eight colleges and universities selected for a new AmeriCorps VISTA partnership designed to encourage participation in national service opportunities.  The schools selected for this partnership are: the Rochester Institute of Technology, Tufts University, University of Hawaii, University of Montana, University of Rochester, University of Virginia, Utah State University, and Wake Forest University.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the federal agency for service and volunteering, announced the opening of its new Mountain Region office in Denver. 

CNCS CEO Barbara Stewart and new regional administrator Ken Goodson made the announcement at an event celebrating the 25th Anniversary of AmeriCorps during which nearly 300 new AmeriCorps members kicked off their year of service by taking the AmeriCorps pledge.

The winners, which include both AmeriCorps programs and AmeriCorps alumni, were announced at a national gathering of AmeriCorps programs in Arlington, Va., this week.
